Carl left out for storm five days ago! Hurricane Sandy made a huge impact on the power lines along the east coast. Carl and his crew are up north working away! Carl's job is dangerous but it gives major relief to people. Imagine being without power for days & days!
So while he's out getting people's power back on, i'm trying to think of something to do over the weekend. Alabama and LSU play this weekend & Carl isn't going to be here to watch it with me! We watch football every Saturday && most of my weekends are spent with him! We're one of those couples, if you seen one you're bound to see the other!
I know five days doesn't seem like a lot, but it is when you're other half is up north & two days away! This weekend will be family filled! I ask for everyone to keep the victims of Hurricane Sandy in you're prayers. Also, don't forget to say a little prayer for those trying to clean up after the storm! Thank you all & God bless!

Moving on from small time life
Graduation....one of the biggest days of my life. In the crowd, there sat my wonderful family, church family, boyfriend, and some of his family! I looked up and realized all the amazing people God blessed me with. I was making a major move from high school girl to college girl. I needed all the support I could.
Graduation was bittersweet. I was happy to be moving forward, but i'm not going to lie, I shed a few tears. When they called my name, I could hear Carl screaming over everyone. I was very emotional during graduation so he just hugged me tight!
Carl wore a smile as big as I did. He was proud of me and that is what I need of a guy. He has always pushed me to be the best I can and to keep up my grades. He always supports me in anything I want to do. I already had my career choice picked out when we got together. He encourages me all the time to reach for my goals in life. Carl didn't graduate high school. He dropped out and got his G.E.D.He pushed me to do my best and accomplish the things he didn't.
Winter Wonderland
Winter Wonderland. That was the theme for my senior prom. I was the luckiest girl there. I had the most amazing guy to escort me. We had been together about six months. By this time we were always together! Everywhere I went, Carl was somewhere around. That still remains the same today. We had an amazing night and shared our first dance!
Carl looked great. He said if I wanted him to go, I would let him wear his cowboy hat and his cowboy boots. I had a pink dress. Carl wore a black tux with a pink tie, along with the cowboy hat and the boots! I was having a rough time because my makeup didn't turn out like it was suppose to. The glow on my face covered that up!
My junior prom was really good but it couldn't even begin to compete with my senior prom. The guy I had escorting me to my senior prom meant the world to me. My senior dance/ Carl & mine's first dance was everything I could have dreamed of. We danced to the slow song and I rested my head on his chest. Carl holds me tight all the time but during that dance he held me different than normal. He held me tight and close and told me how much he loved me. That night I knew God had truly blessed me on this one. I'm grateful that I got to spend my senior prom with Carl.
We left early, like all kids do. We went out to eat at Lonestar, my favorite!! Following our meal, we went back to a friend's house. There we played on the Wii and shot pool. We didn't do the whole prom party. Instead, we surrounded ourselves with Christian friends and had just as much fun playing games, shooting pool, and drinking sweet tea!

Tell it all to mom & dad!
Carl had met my parents before because we were childhood friends. He also was around them at Christmas but they didn't get to know him very well.
He decided to come to my house and watch Alabama play for the 2011 National championship. My parents were big Alabama fans like him so it was perfect. I had lost a bet against him during football season. Since I had lost, I had to wear an Alabama jersey on the day of the Alabama and LSU national championship game. I am a major Auburn fan so he got a kick out of this. Like I said, I had brought Carl around before then, even while we were dating. This was the night my parents really got to know him though. Ever since that night, my parents LOVE him! I've learned its important to have daddy's blessing, and boy did I get it!
